At ADDA, every feature we build starts with a simple question: What do residents truly need? With the Community WhatsApp Groups feature, we wanted to solve a challenge that residents face every day. New residents often feel lost—they don’t know which groups exist in the community.
Is there a Whatsapp or Telegram group for Toddler Moms?
Is there a group for Senior Citizens?
Is there a group for Board Gamers?
..A group for Homepreneurs?
Even long-time residents struggle to discover hobby-based groups, interest clubs and many more.

Recently, a few Management Committee (MC) members contacted us with a few objections. Hope this blog will be useful to answer those.
Best Practices for Communities
- Publish Your house Rules: Clearly list your society’s house rules related to Harmonious and Respectful communication, under the Community Guidelines section in ADDA.
- Moderate if Needed: If the Name/Description of any Group listed breaches the Community Guidelines then the ADDA Moderator can inform the Person who listed it. They can ensure compliance with your Community Guidelines. In case of continued non compliance, the Moderator has the ability to delete the Group listing.
Conclusion
We believe the Community WhatsApp Groups feature leverages the true benefits of Community Living – socialising and exploring common interests.
The Community makes its platform (ADDA) available for Residents to find all these vibrant groups.
We’re excited to see your community thrive with this feature. Roll it out at your next MC meeting, share the updated Community Guidelines, and empower your residents to build stronger connections—safely and responsibly. Together, let’s transform group chats from a liability into your society’s greatest asset.
