Lessons Learned from the Void
This nightmare taught us the importance of rigorous due diligence during acquisitions:
Always verify completeness and accuracy of lease documentation upfront. Digitize and centralize leases immediately upon acquisition. Never rely solely on prior owner assurances or landlord files.
